1. Overview
Welcome to Tiles on Top. In these Terms & Conditions, the terms “we”, “us” and “our” refer to Tiles on Top. We operate this website and online store, including all related information, content, features, tools, products and services made available through it.
Tiles on Top is a trading name and brand owned and operated by Soliterra Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales.
By visiting, browsing, using or purchasing from this website, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions, together with our Privacy Policy, Delivery Information and Returns & Refunds Policy. If you do not agree with these Terms, you should not use this website.
These Terms do not affect your statutory rights under applicable UK law.
2. Website Use

We aim to ensure that the information on this website is accurate and up to date. However, we do not guarantee that all information is always complete, current or error-free. Any reliance placed on the content of this website is at your own risk.
This website may contain links to third-party websites for your convenience. We are not responsible for the content, accuracy or availability of any third-party website.
3. Accounts and Registration
You may be asked to provide certain information when placing an order or creating an account, including your name, email address, billing details, delivery address and payment information. You confirm that all information provided is accurate, current and complete.
If you create an account, you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password and account details, and for all activity carried out under your account.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate any account, restrict access to the website, cancel orders, or remove content at our discretion where we believe there has been misuse, security risk or breach of these Terms.
4. Product Information
We make every effort to present our products as accurately as possible. However, please note the following:
-
product images are for illustration and guidance only
-
colours, finishes and textures may appear differently depending on screen type, resolution and device settings
-
samples are intended as an indication of colour and texture only and may not exactly match later batches
-
product names shown on packaging may differ from the trade names used on our website
All product descriptions, dimensions, specifications and availability are subject to change without notice.
5. Product Characteristics and Variation
Tiles, paving and related surface materials may naturally vary in shade, tone, colour, texture and finish. Manufacturing tolerances and batch variation can occur, and minor differences between images, samples and delivered products should be expected.
Where applicable:
-
sizes quoted are nominal and may vary within normal manufacturing tolerances
-
coverage rates may assume standard joint widths
-
thickness, weight and shape may vary slightly between batches
-
some products may weather or change in appearance over time depending on installation, maintenance and environmental conditions
Customers should inspect samples and product details carefully before placing a full order.
We strongly recommend ordering sufficient material for the entire project in one order. Additional orders placed later may not match the original batch.
We also recommend allowing a reasonable extra quantity for cuts, breakages, wastage and future replacements.
6. Suitability and Installation
It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure that the selected product is suitable for its intended use and installation environment before ordering and before installation.
Tiles and paving should be installed by a suitably qualified professional using appropriate preparation methods, substrates, adhesives, grouts, jointing compounds, bedding materials and installation practices.
We cannot accept responsibility for:
-
incorrect installation
-
unsuitable substrates or bases
-
incorrect product choice for the intended application
-
costs arising from lifting, re-laying, replacing or rectifying installed products
All goods should be checked for damage, defects, shade and suitability before installation. Products must not be installed if there is a visible issue or concern.
7. Orders and Contract Formation
When you place an order through our website, you are making an offer to purchase goods from us.
Your order is not accepted until we confirm acceptance. We reserve the right to accept, decline, amend or cancel any order at our discretion, including where:
-
stock is unavailable
-
pricing or product information is incorrect
-
delivery to the requested location is not possible
-
there are payment, fraud prevention or security concerns
If we are unable to fulfil or accept your order, we will attempt to notify you using the contact details provided and will refund any sums paid, where applicable.
8. Prices and Payment
All prices shown on the website are stated in GBP unless otherwise indicated. Prices may be changed at any time without notice.
Unless otherwise stated, prices may exclude delivery charges, taxes, pallet charges or other applicable fees. These will be shown at checkout or otherwise communicated before order completion.
Payment must be received and successfully processed before an order is accepted and released for fulfilment.
We reserve the right to cancel any order where a product has been listed at an incorrect price due to a typographical, technical or supplier-related error.
9. Delivery
Please refer to our Delivery Information page for full delivery details.
In summary:
-
many tile and paving orders are delivered on pallets
-
deliveries are generally kerbside only
-
the customer is responsible for ensuring suitable access for the delivery vehicle and pallet unloading
-
delivery times are estimates only and are not guaranteed
We are not liable for delays caused by carriers, routing issues, weather, traffic, stock issues or events outside our reasonable control.
Risk in the goods passes to you upon delivery.
10. Inspection on Delivery
Customers must inspect goods as soon as reasonably possible upon delivery and, where visible damage exists, note it on the delivery paperwork and notify us promptly.
We recommend taking photographs of:
-
the pallet
-
packaging
-
any damaged goods
-
the delivery area, where relevant
Failure to report visible damage promptly may affect our ability to process claims with couriers or suppliers.
11. Cancellations, Returns and Refunds
Please refer to our Returns & Refunds page for full details.
Because many of our products are heavy goods delivered on pallets, cancellations and returns may be subject to transport, collection, handling or repalletisation charges.
Where a return is accepted, goods must generally be:
-
unused
-
unopened where possible
-
in original packaging
-
in resalable condition
Refunds may be reduced to reflect:
-
return transport costs
-
collection charges
-
repackaging costs
-
damage or loss in value caused after delivery
If an order is cancelled after dispatch, return arrangements and costs may still apply.
12. Area Calculations and Quantities
Any area calculations, coverage figures or quantity guides shown on the website are provided for convenience only.
It is the customer’s responsibility to verify all measurements, quantities and order requirements before placing an order. We cannot be held responsible for under-ordering or over-ordering.
